The Yoga Solution Guidelines and Etiquette

The Yoga Solution welcomes students of all ages and physical abilities. The studio offers a safe and supportive space for both the new student and the experienced practitioner to realize the physical and spiritual gifts of yoga. All students honor and support their fellow students in their physical practice and path to spiritual well-being.

Classes at The Yoga Solution focus on the body's alignment in each yoga posture and utilizes props to achieve the full benefit of a pose. Our instructors teach with bolsters, blankets, straps and blocks, and often use the wall as a prop. Props are used to demonstrate proper alignment, modify a pose, or bring awareness to a particular area of the body. With the use of props, students are able to realize the full benefit of poses that they otherwise may not be able to experience.

The Yoga Solution offers on-going beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. Students new to yoga are encouraged to attend the studio's Introduction to Yoga series, which is designed to teach basic alignment and introduce the use of yoga props.

The studio is committed to bringing acclaimed visiting yoga instructors to Sacramento. Returning instructors include Donald Moyer, Mary Lou Weprin, Judith Lasater, Sandy Blaine, and Gary Kraftsow.

New Students:

Arrive at class ten minutes early to meet the instructor. Tell the instructor if you have any injuries or physical limitations. This information will allow the instructor to provide modifications or alternate poses to meet your needs.

All Students:

Class starts promptly at the scheduled time. Please arrive early enough to sign in and obtain the necessary props for class.

Remove shoes upon entering the studio. Enter the practice area with bare feet.

Hygiene is an important aspect of yoga. Please do not wear perfumes or scented products in the studio, and come to class clean.

Avoid eating before class.

Wear clothes that will allow you to stretch.
